DEKRA expands its range of cyber security services: DEKRA specialists now offer the IT monitoring system “Cyber SafeAlert” especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The system, developed by the cyber security company RadarServices, continuously detects IT risks and promptly reports anomalies, security gaps and attacks.

“Cyber SafeAlert” reliably detects attacks, patterns and anomalies that conventional IT security systems, such as antivirus software and firewalls, don’t consider a threat because of their pattern-based defences. After taking inventory and a vulnerability and risk check, hardware for data collection is installed at the company’s premises and integrated into the company’s network. As a result, data that may indicate security risks is continuously collected and automatically analysed from multiple sources within the network and also from external sources.

A user interface called “cockpit” provides users with a timely overview of security issues and unauthorized network access. The system prioritizes the anomalies depending on the risk and provides practical solutions. Until now, such monitoring solutions have only been used by large companies. With “Cyber SafeAlert” IT monitoring is now also available,s especially for SMEs.

With “Cyber SafeAlert” DEKRA rounds off its portfolio of cyber security services with a special focus on medium-sized companies. This portfolio expansion can be attributed to the success of intensive discussions at the leading IT security trade exhibition it-sa in Nuremberg in October, where DEKRA presented itself for the first time with its own booth.

DEKRA offers a comprehensive range of IT security and data protection services: including IT security consulting and assessments, certification of IT security management systems and personal certifications as well as trainings and product testings.
